A limited edition 19" X 17” giclee print. The artwork is printed on archival matte paper and signed by the artist with edition number. The original work is a gouache and charcoal illustration featuring Pacific seahorses “Hippocampus ingens”.
Largest of the seahorses, the Pacific seahorse is nearly a foot in length from the tip of its extended tail to snout. This illustration displays a dried seahorse “mummy” and a reconstruction showing what it would look like alive in the same pose. Sadly, dried seahorses are sold as aphrodisiacs in many Asian markets making seahorses victims of overharvesting.
The print will be shipped in a sturdy tube via USPS Priority Mail. Items usually ship within 3-5 business days after payment. Expedited services available at extra cost.
